C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project
To impact breast cancer in our community through education, awareness and support, to provide ongoing emotional assistance to underserved and under insured patients undergoing breast cancer treatment, to contribute financial sponsorship allowing patients to focus on survivorship and recovery, to collaborate with community agencies to provide comprehensive services to breast cancer patients in the Bossier and Shreveport area.

The Breast Health Voucher Program offers free or low cost mammograms and diagnostics to financially qualifying individuals. Contact the mammography department at the hospital to see if you qualify and set up an appointment.
Partners in Wellness
Feist-Weiller Cancer Center sponsors the community-based Partners in Wellness health screening program that operates on a year-round basis. A mobile cancer screening unit with the only mobile digital mammography equipment in north Louisiana travels to rural communities providing them with adequate access to cancer prevention and early detection initiatives. Partners in Wellness cancer screening is free to financially qualified uninsured or under-insured individuals. Screening tests for prostate, colorectal, breast and cervical cancer are offered. The goal of the program is to reduce the burden of cancer in Louisiana through early detection and prevention. Partners in Wellness aims to promote good health through routine screening exams and education

St. Luke’s Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry
St. Luke’s Episcopal Medical Ministry is a mobile medical ministry of the 8 Episcopal churches of Northwest Louisiana. Using our medical RV, we provide free preventive health screenings, basic health services, health education, and medical referrals on a regular basis to the under served in the rural and urban Louisiana communities of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Desoto, and Claiborne parishes.
Women’s Health Link:
Martin Luther King Health Center provides targeted education and awareness activities for the purpose of improving breast screening rates, early detection and breast health in high-risk geographical areas and populations. Projects will include outreach to rural business and industry sites in Minden, Mansfield and Springhill areas as well as a “Mammograms & Manicures” event in the fall of 2015 and a “Ladies Night Out” screening event in the spring of 2016 at the MLK Health Center at 865 Olive Street.
